Outdated design
The same components over and over, with nothing tying the whole thing together
Ongoing project: we're redesigning Air Europa's onboard menu pages. It's part of "Air Europa ON," the plan through which the airline is renewing its entire onboard experience: wifi, amenities, and also its dining offer, with menus signed by Martín Berasategui in Business. Our job is to make that offer feel just as premium on screen as it does in the air.
Too much information, zero flow: that's how this project landed on our desk. Text was piled up with no real hierarchy, buttons were there just because a button "had to" go somewhere, and the visual language repeated the same components over and over, with alignments and margins that were never meant to work together. The result: a page that was hard to read and didn't reflect the level of the service at all.
We're raising the quality of the entire onboard experience, and this page couldn't be left behind. The goal is clear: a tone that matches the brand, fully updated information and menu, every dish, every detail, and a structure that finally makes sense from start to finish.
The same components over and over, with nothing tying the whole thing together
Content was placed wherever it fit, not wherever the passenger actually needed it
Finding what you needed took more clicks and more patience than it should
Every screen was designed on its own, with nothing giving the whole thing a purpose
There are no real results to show yet: this is still a prototype. What we do have is the full system taking shape: reusable dish cards with photography front and center, clear allergen and diet labels, and a visual hierarchy tailored to each cabin, with a dedicated space for the Berasategui collaboration in Business. Everything gets validated on mobile first, before a single line of code goes into production.
Online research and a direct benchmark against premium airlines with similar offers
A finished, ready prototype: reusable dish cards, with photo, allergens, and diet always visible
First tests with a small group of users: they got it with zero friction. Full-scale validation is still pending
